The Topic of the the Retreat is The Many Aspects of Divine Mother. Many of us who growing up in the standard Western religions were only acquainted with God as the Father or the masculine principle, but Paramhansa Yogananda, the great Yogi Master who brought Kriya Yoga to the West,  often preferred to relate to the feminine principle of the Divine. He encouraged devotees to approach God not only as the Infinite Spirit or Heavenly Father, but also as the tender, ever-present Divine Mother. To him, Divine Mother was the intimate, compassionate, and responsive aspect of God – The One who knows every joy and sorrow of Her children and lovingly guides them toward freedom.

In this retreat we will explore, experience and celebrate our relationship to God as Divine Mother. We will cover the many aspects of the Divine Mother as taught by Yogananda including:

  • The Cosmic Mother as the Divine Creative Force
  • The many faces of Divine Mother as Goddess and Saint
  • Our own personal Divine Mother as one of the most intimate ways we can relate to the Divine.

Also, as part of the Sunday Service, we will offer an opportunity to become a Disciple of Yogananda, or to renew your vows. The retreat will occur of the anniversary of Swami Kriyananda’s becoming a disciple of Paramhansa Yogananda.

The retreat will be led by the Ministers Nayaswami Sagar and Lightbearer Maitri from Ananda Village.

The fee for the weekend is $150 which includes all programs, breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday and all the bliss you can take.

We hope you will be able to join for all or part of the retreat. Please contact bill@anandadenver.org with questions or to register.
